What is incident

An Incident is generated when a monitor fails to receive a successful response from a service. Incidents provide detailed information on failures, helping you quickly identify and troubleshoot issues.

  • Automatic Alerts: When an incident is created, Uptinio sends alerts through all integrations linked to the monitor. This ensures that relevant teams and individuals are notified immediately.
  • Automatic and Manual Resolution: Incidents automatically close when the monitored service recovers, and the monitor starts receiving successful responses again. You also have the option to close incidents manually if necessary.
  • Detailed Request and Response Data: Each incident view provides access to the specific request and response that triggered the incident. In some cases, headers are also visible, offering more context for troubleshooting.
  • Incident History: You can track each incident’s progression in the Activity Log. This log shows a detailed history of the incident, including recovery times and any manual actions taken.

Incidents give you a comprehensive overview of any downtime, helping to keep your services reliable and responsive.
