Hello everyone, Diego from Uptinio here!
I’m excited to share some new features and fixes that are now live in Uptinio. Let’s dive in!
New Feature: Heartbeat / Cron Monitoring
Uptinio now supports heartbeat checks! This lets you monitor cron jobs and background tasks that don’t expose an endpoint, making it ideal for asynchronously running tasks.
Common Use Cases:
- Database or filesystem backups
- Sidekiq and Celery jobs
- Background cron scripts
- Windows Task Scheduler jobs
- … and more!
Enhanced Slack Integration
Now, Slack incidents update automatically when they’re resolved! This means you’ll always have the latest status in your Slack channels, helping you stay on top of things.

Bulk Integration Assignment
Assigning integrations to monitors just got easier! With our new bulk assignment feature, you can apply an integration across all monitors under the Integrations
tab.
First-Time Monitor Setup
We’ve streamlined the setup process for first-time users, making it easier than ever to get your first website monitor up and running.
New Features and Fixes in Monitoring
- Extended Monitor Intervals: We’ve removed the 60-minute cap, so now you can monitor daily or weekly tasks with ease.
- Default Frequency Change: Default monitor frequency has been reduced from 5 minutes to 1 minute for faster, more responsive alerts.
- UI Improvements: Multiple fixes, especially for mobile views, to enhance usability.
Coming Soon
We’re working hard on:
- A Server Agent to collect system metrics
- Metrics and log upload and visualization
Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, thank you for being part of the Uptinio community!
